SAFETY TALK: Getting Refocused After a Holiday Break

Coming back to work after an extended break or even a long weekend, can be tough! It is normal to feel a little sluggish or distracted as you get back to work routines. Take a minute to regroup and refresh yourself. With winter in full gear – slowing down is par for the course. Here are some pointers to get your mind and body back in the game:Establish a positive mindset: Spend some time reviewing your goals for the year and fine tune your plan.
Start a new good habit: Take a few minutes in the morning to stretch or drink that smoothie you keep meaning to mak part of your morning routine – try something different to boost your spirits during these cold winter months.
Communicate with your team: catch up on project updates that may have changed while you were away.
Be patient: Everyone else is adjusting too! Allow yourself and others time to adjust and don’t rush into anythng.
Celebrate your accomplishments: Reflect on the past year, ackowledge your wins and keep that momentum going!
